Vintage Halloween Mask

A few items purchased at sales lately.....

Vintage Halloween mask from the 1930's.

Black Cats

Cocktail Shakers and Mixers

Always got to buy the things for my booth that might attract cowboys.

I was in the garage pricing and doing my inventory, so you might notice my son's band equipment in the background.

Update on the "good hoarding" house.  I'm still in the works of doing a total buyout.  Hopefully I can get my hands in there soon!

Wasted Days and Wasted Nights

Do you ever have those kind of days when you just piddle around the house and yard not really accomplishing anything?  Well that's me today.  So I was just walking around thinking about how things come and go in my house (for resale) but many items are here for the long-haul.....
I use these dog doorstops everyday, propping the door so the cats can go in and out.

My favorite mesh and beaded bags, I love the Deco Era!

 Henri G. Reynard Litho

Art Deco bookend, I only have one.

Maxfield Parrish Litho "Garden of Allah"

Unique Oriental box

Buddha, barber bottle, snuff bottle, etc.

Weller vase, Owl shot glass, the lady is a figural gas cap!

This sculpted African head is one of my most favorite things.   Inspiration for my living room.

I spent hours outside walking around with the goats, then reading a book.

We had the fencing put in around the back yard...now the goats have 1/2 acre for browsing.

I have the cutest yard boys!

Looks like a prison shot, but it's Chuck helping me move a cement bench to the backyard.

This hardy fellow comes back ever year and spreads over one of my hills.

The gorgeous Pas de Chat AKA Pawdee enjoying the day with me.

Hope you all are have a marvelous day, whatever you are doing!

I Love Vintage

Purchased a Miriam Haskell vintage pin.  A nice find!  Miriam's jewelry was made from the 1920's - 1950's.  Many movie stars wore her jewelry.........

Another nice purchase, peacock ashtray stand from the Deco era.  This style was popular in hotel lobbies........

Some wild vintage ties spotted today while working in the antique mart.  I recently starting working 1 day a week where I have my booth.  It's interesting, but exhausting.

All I can think about right now SPRINKLES CUPCAKES!  I would kill for one...........

And here's Pawdee!  Somehow cats & pumpkins compliment each other.

I can't wait to go to bed.  A long tiring day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome Home

I do not have a "green thumb", so I was pleasantly surprised to find my squash plant was thriving.  I guess we had a lot of rain while we were gone.  This plant by the way was an accidental miracle.  It must have been a remainder from the previous year when I had a little garden.  I gave up on it this year because every time something would ripen, a wild animal would eat it.  Most likely a javelina.  The guy below was on my back patio last fall and I took the photo from inside.  Scary!

Other nice things to come home to:  my 3 cats (who missed me terribly) and my children.
